Slogging Away at it

I am slogging my way through my Finish Along list. I try to do too many projects at once. Do you find this is the case for yourself and is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Here is my progress so far.

One item checked off - see last post.

Lately I have been flitting between three quilts which I hope to finish before December.

The heart quilt. The top is complete but I haven't taken a photo since it was two thirds completed. I love the jelly bean fabric for the zig zag.

My second quilt is the star quilt. The top and label are completed and I just need to piece the back. This will be a brightly backed quilt when it is finished.

Thirdly,  this sweet quilt is a kit from Connecting Threads called Georgia's Quilt. the colours are so pretty and it has a lovely soft look. The top is almost completed but I have been working on the top and the backing at the same time.

The halfway joined top.

This is just a small taste of the 20 or so projects I have on the go. It seems that every time I cross one off I add two more. At least they keep me happy.

Have a wonderful time enjoying all of your projects.

Happy stitching.

A Quick Finish

A quick finish that was a long time in the waiting.

I have finished the first item on my Finish Along Quarter 4 list - the Night Owl Potholders. They were purchased as a kit at a craft and quilt fair 4 years ago and are a pattern by Legacy Patterns.

Finish Along 2016 Quarter 4 Goals

 2016 FAL
Gosh a quarter goes by very quickly. Given my poor effort with my Quarter 3 list I am hoping that the Quarter 4 list is better worked through this time; here goes:

1. Star Quilt. Basting, quilting and binding to go.

2.  Layer of Love quilt from Moda Bake Shop. Basting, quilting and binding to be completed.

3. Strawberry Squares.Need to finish the blocks then basting, quilting and binding to go.

4. Owl mitts. These have been hanging around for too long.

5. Cupcake Mitts They are halfway made and I am aiming for them to be Christmas gifts.

6. Starry Night Quilt paper piecing has begun. I have a long way to go with this one.

That is enough to keep me busy. Good luck everyone with your finishes.
Happy stitching,
Jenell
